Believing in "Invisible Labor"

I do believe that we as a whole choose to make trash invisible.  It is gross and chaotic and many people choose to not deal with the situation.  In the article it states that many people who do become or who were already garbage men and/or women are labeled as people who have a job position that is nasty and disgusting.  However it is important to all of our physical conditions and wellbeing that the trash around our communities is being taken care of.  The article also states that it can become an "invisible labor".  If it is done properly and the right way then it becomes an object that isn't seen and the labor is done.  It really does come down to common sense and if you are on top of the condition then there shouldn't be a problem.  I believe greatly in the words that the article states that it can be "invisible labor".  If it comes to the point that you are not able to get into a room in your house because of all the trash that has piled up then it's a problem.  It all comes down to laziness and not having the respect to your belongings and other things around you.  If it gets done right away then there should be no worries on this problem again.

Logging 101

I had no idea what I was going to write for my sustainability paper and to make it personal was making it much more harder than it needed to be.  Then I began to think of what in the world my family and I have done in the past that would help write the 3,000 word essay.  After my little panic attack I started to remember when I was younger and on most weekends early in the morning either the whole family or just my sister and I would go out with dad to hunt for firewood.  This then brought me to the idea of writing about back in the day when my dad used to log for a living.  So I have decided to write about my dad and the logging industry in Montana and how it has uses responsible harvesting.

Those Good Ole' Bananas

Remember when you were in elementary school when you did the adding and subtracting, and creating those crazy art projects (that somehow have been able to stay together all these years) and at the end of the day you head home to your afternoon snack that either your mom or dad would put out for you?  What would those snacks be?  In my family both my sister and I would usually come home to a banana for each of us.  not until now did I realize what all a banana can do for you, the history of how the banana became the banana of today and how it can even keep you safe.
The banana, which was first recognized around 4,000 years ago in Malaysia, was thought of at first as a dessert.  However, after soon finding out it never needed to be chilled, many more became transported and it quickly became a staple food.  The yellow banana that we eat today was actually the outcome of an experiment that a banana farmer decided to do by mixing his own green bananas to the already cooking bananas.  As for taking care of our bodies, researchers believe that the banana is able to help resist some diseases and to give out defensive vaccines.  So when thinking about what snack we should have today, maybe go with a banana.  In the long run it is much more healthy than a sugary cookie!

About Me and What I Like to Read

Hi! My name is Chelsey Denzin, I was born in Helena, Montana and raised there for awhile till my family and I moved to Spokane, Washington.  I am an outdoors kind of girl; I like to go four wheeling, tubing and snowmobiling.  One of these times I would like to go paintballing when the time is right and I have found a passion for painting this last spring.

What I like to usually read are mystery books.  They always keep you in suspense and keep your attention through the whole book.  How I read...depends on if I'm reading a book that keeps me interested, then I'm engrossed into the book.  If it is a text book of some kind my mind does tend to wonder a lot of the time and I catch myself skimming through and hit the highlights of the section but I do usually go through the same section over and over again to make sure I have somewhat of an understanding to what the class might be doing.
